Square One and the Winter Storm of 2010

This weekend, about 170 couples attended Port City Community Church’s first Square One: On the Road at the Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort. This 1 1/2 day retreat is something that I can definitely recommend to others as it painted a picture of what marriage is supposed to look like. We ended the final session with 170 guys leading their wives in communion. That was a pretty amazing sight!

While we were there, the winter storm set in on us. Now, snow in Wilmington is not very common but I think snow in Myrtle Beach is even less common. Of course, we had to make the most of that opportunity and snap a few pics. So here is Winter Storm 2010, Myrtle Beach-style.

So this is our first Christmas with Nola and it is everything that I had hoped it would be. I am so thankful & grateful for my wonderful wife Donna & our precious Nola Faye. I hope that God blesses you during this season and into 2010. Merry Christmas!

To say that the past year has been crazy would be an understatement. My life is pretty amazing and I am so very thankful for my family. Nola arrived in July and she has brought so much joy to our lives. Donna & I have had so much fun loving on her and enjoying our time together. I am blessed to be able to document moments in my own family’s life as well as the lives of others. And I am thankful to God for allowing me to be a part of all of this.

Donna | Maternity

So Donna and I were finally able to go out and shoot some maternity pics a couple of weeks ago. Maternity shoots are not really my strong suit so I was a little nervous about shooting these. Not to mention every maternity pose in the world has been shot a thousand times…especially the fingers shaped as a heart over the belly standing on a sand dune of sea oats. Anyway, here are some shots from session one. Session two is still in the hopper and I’ll get to those once I finish up some of the last batch of Wilmington NC weddings.
