Since Amy & Townsend are from out of town, we really did not have the chance to shoot an engagement session. So, Townsend, who is active duty, was able to borrow a vintage military uniform and we took off for the USS North Carolina the day after their wedding. The fine folks at the Battleship Museum let us in after hours and gave us free reign. Of course, we were there with some paranormal researchers from out of town who were spending the night on the ship looking for things that go bump in the night. It was a little unnerving, to be honest. Anyway, the rain broke and we were able to sneak in a fun session before the sun set.

I met Amy & Townsend when they were visiting Wilmington from New York City. Their vision was to have the family stay near the ceremony & reception site and basically have all the venues close together. The Wilmingtonian and 128 South were great fits for this. I must also say that having all of the family together in one place at one time and photographing them before the ceremony was such a great idea (and I would love to do more of this). This was actually my first time shooting at 128 South. And I must say that I really like this venue…especially with the addition of the Riverview Deck. My goodness! Christie Brogan, Brian Hood, and the staff at 128 South were very accommodating and were wonderful to work alongside.
