So excited after the 1st week of the new series “Man School” at Port City Community Church.
There’s an educational crisis in our culture today. We’ve all grown up with this idea of what it means to be a man that’s based on a set of shallow stereotypes—but do we REALLY know what it means to be a man or woman the way God intends us to be? In this series, we want to pull back the layers of our cultural drift toward gender-neutrality, and examine the created differences in us that God intends for His purposes. Join us as we spend these four weeks together as classmates in Man School!

And the Media Team did a wonderful job with the intro…

Our baby girl turned one today! Her birthday party with family and friends was this past Saturday (pics on the way), so Donna and I had fun planning a laid back day of celebration for today. First, we went to Hot Pink Cake Stand right before lunch so Nola could have a sweet treat and a candle to blow out on her “real birthday.” Then, later on in the afternoon, we had a quick photo session to mark the occasion. We thought it be cool to show how she has changed and grown through the year by using photos from the last twelve months as a backdrop.

Full weekend with two weddings, beach time with friends, a little pool time, & hanging out at small group. I cannot think of a better way to end this wonderful weekend than with the two people I love the most…

I made these images of Nola one Sunday evening after church. She had wheeled herself in front of a window and the light that was coming in was beautiful. I knew the sun was setting and I didn’t have much time so I grabbed my camera and took a few frames. The time stamps from the first frame to the last was five minutes four seconds. The sun was gone and Nola was ready to move on to something else. Five minutes was all I had. Just another reminder of how fast time seems to move these days which is why I am so grateful for every moment I have with my family.
